audition hades

Why do I do this? Why do I drag my kid all over creation in order to audition for these shows? Yeah, I know, because I love her and she's worth it. Alexis auditioned for "A Christmas Carol" at Ford's Theatre in DC. She made callbacks and had to learn a couple of pieces by the following day. No joke, we drove 3 hours round-trip for her to spend less than 2 minutes in the audition room. She didn't get the part, but it was still good experience. However, the gas money for two straight days makes me dizzy.

In other news, Alexis will be performing, if that's what you want to call it, at the Leitersburg Haunted House beginning on Oct. 12 and running for three weekends. She was also cast as the understudy of Oliver in "Oliver Twist". Unfortunately, she may never get to do the part as an understudy, so she may just be seen as an orphan/thief. That's ok, because she still gets Oliver pay. She is also planning on doing the Antietam Rec Christmas show again this year.
